Sabrina Rodriguez comes to USCU from the Dominican Republic. She started playing volleyball at 11, and says she came to the U.S. to continue playing the sport she loves while getting an education.

“Here the culture is different, I miss my family and my culture at home, especially the food,” said Rodriguez. She says her favorite thing about being at USC Union is getting to meet other international students from so many different countries. “I love [volleyball’s] team bonding.” Sabrina especially enjoyed attending the Union County Fair with the rest of the team.
Sabrina’s favorite class at USC Union is math with Prof. Joe Anderson. “I don’t usually like math, but the teacher is fun and my friends are in the class. It makes it a good environment.”
