Bantam women’s soccer is hard at work preparing for their first season as a club team at USC Union. Under Head Coach John Mills and Assistant Coach Jenny Mize, these young ladies from across the country and around the world are set to play their first game at Columbia College on Monday, August 18 at 7:00PM. Meet a few of our newest Lady Bantams!

Skyler Brown is a Bantam Athlete times two! A sophomore from Titusville, Florida, she has already represented USCU on the field as a part of the Lady Bantams Softball team, and will play defense on the soccer team this fall. Brown is planning to major in education with the goal of becoming an elementary school teacher. A fun fact about Skyler is that she has a red lab back home named Ruger. To navigate playing both sports, Skyler plans to “stay organized and communicate well with both coaches.”
Mikaylah Coker is a freshman from right here in Union and a graduate of Union County High School. A midfielder, she is planning to major in business/marketing and hopes to one day work in insurance or become a cosmetologist. Mikaylah enjoys reading in her free time, and her current favorite book is All Your Perfects by Colleen Hoover. She says she is “looking forward to meeting new people” during her first year of college.

“I’ve been playing soccer since I was five,” said Maddie Rodriguez, a freshman from Phoenix City, Alabama. “I am looking forward to getting to know the girls on the team.” Maddie plans to major in Criminal Justice and hopes to start her career as a forensic tech after graduation.

Jadin Parrish is a freshman from Pendelton, SC, and plans to complete the nursing program at USC Union. A fun fact about Jaydin is that she is the oldest of six siblings. “I hope to make meaningful friendships during my first year,” she said.

“My goal for my freshman year is to stay balanced andkeep up with everything,” said Zoe Carle, a freshman from Clinton, SC. “I can’t wait to get to know the team better.” A fun fact about Zoe is that she is adopted and originally hails from Liberia, Africa. Off the field, Zoe loves to cook. She plans to major in business with the hopes of one day owing a catering or personal chef business. She is also considering attending culinary school.
Kmya Gil-Moreno comes to USC Union from Sumter, SC. “I am looking forward to learning how to live independently and getting to know my teammates better,” she said. A fun fact about Kyma is that she is bilingual, speaking both Spanish and English. She is taking Portuguese classes this fall at USC Union with the goal of mastering a third language. After graduating from college, Kmya wants to become a Physician’s Assistant.
