Indian Humphrey Fellow to Visit University of South Carolina Union

UNION, SC, FEBRUARY 2025 – As part of the U.S. Department of State’s 2024-2025 Hubert H.Humphrey Fellowship Program (HHH), a Fulbright exchange, thirty-four visiting international fellows will learn about U.S. higher education at twenty-one community colleges and share their professional expertise and cultures with these campus communities.


Humphrey Fellow Attorney Liyi Noshi from INDIA will visit USC Union February 24-28, 2025.


Liyi Noshi is a dedicated lawyer and advocate, specializing in protecting the rights of marginalized and vulnerable communities. She focuses on providing legal representation for children who have been victims of sexual abuse and human trafficking. With over 16 years of experience, Noshi addresses issues such as racial discrimination, child sexual abuse, rape, domestic violence, and child trafficking. Noshi supports government agencies and trains stakeholders within the police and judicial systems to foster systematic change. With a law degree from the University of Delhi, Noshi is committed to empowering vulnerable communities and advocating for policy reforms that protect their rights.

Each year approximately 140 Fellows pursue professional enrichment through graduate-level non-degree study and related professional experiences at selected American universities. The program has a network of over 6,900 alumni from 167 countries around the world working on priority issues including climate change, public health, and human rights. The Humphrey Fellowship Program is funded by the U.S. Department of State (DOS) and administered by the Institute of International Education (IIE).


The HHH Community College Residency Program enhances HHH Fellows’ understanding of American values and increases Americans’ global competitiveness at community colleges.
